August begins under the energetic influence of July’s full moon in Aquarius. Those who joined the full moon circle know we received a powerful surge of energy and insight, preparing us for August’s two eclipses. To purchase the recording of the July Full Moon Channeling Circle head here.

The first eclipse in August is the Leo Solar Eclipse on the August 12 New Moon, followed by the Pisces Partial Lunar Eclipse on the August 27^th/28^th Full Moon. The Leo/Aquarius axis invites us to believe in ourselves and act with confidence and authenticity. Toward the end of the month, the Sun moves from Leo into Virgo. This service-oriented earth sign shifts the mood from bold confidence toward a more nervous, restless energy, especially as Mercury also enters Virgo.

The vibration remains high, with a focus on service and health, making this a supportive time for retreats, rituals, and meditation. It is also a reminder to follow Spirit’s steady guidance to return to stillness and silence as much as possible. Spirit has been reminding us to REST.

The month of August and these eclipses are the ignition button…ready for takeoff, sending us into a new world. (Thank you to Pam Gregory for the term “ignition button”!) You may have noticed that things are speeding up and everything is subject to change. That said, be ready to pivot as nothing is set in concrete and everything is shifting fast. Later in August we start a new 10-week Empowerment Teaching Series on Mindful Awareness in the Face of Impermanence. In our last 10-week teaching series, we explored how impermanence can be understood as a gift rather than something to fear. As I looked more deeply, I came to understand a powerful truth: when we regularly reflect on the fact that all things must end, we can lessen the shock and anxiety that often accompany endings – not only the death of the body, but also the ending of relationships, beliefs, systems, and even the earth herself.
