I was on the call this past Sunday and I was moved inside when at the end someone on the call said to remember to look into the eyes of the animals.I know when I look inside the eye of an animal that I see the innocence of the spirit, the clarity of their instinct shining through.Animals pull no punches in the expressions of their eyes. When I look into the eye of my cat Simba,I see a soul,a doorway into the soul land of the cat.I see love, and a being who lives in the moment, observant and on the ball in terms of whatever might come his way at any given moment.I just got to say that I loved that comment which was said by the woman on the Sunday call. The animals have love, guidance and messages for us if we were just to look and listen. We have to realise that if the aniamls weren't here we wouldn't be either.Lets be the true stewards of our four-legged,two-finned and two winged friends. We are all we have.
stewardship

Hi Bryn, This is the second comment I have made to this post. I seem to be having some trouble getting the text to stay once I log out...any one else having this problem?
Ok, i too have been thinking about stewardship lately. Animals give us so many gifts, and not just the obvious ones such as dairy, meat, leather and so on....animals teach us about play, joy, wisdom...If only we pay attention and learn.
As I drive around Washington county, NY I am awed everyday, with the beauty of the cows, sheep, goats and horses that graze so peacefully in the lush meadows...I send a prayer for all of them to have the good and happy lives they deserve...
I agree
