The Webster's college dictionary describes the word habit as: "1) An acquired pattern of behavior that has become almost involuntary as a result of frequent repetition. 2) Customary practice or use."
As humans we all have habits. Some of those habits become addictions. Something that is done over and over that it has become almost involuntary as a result of frequent repetition can be contributing to negative feelings about self.
These habits can be as simple as a thought " I am not good enough" or a worry that is so constant you hardly know that it is there. Or the habit of putting your self down or "beating your self up".
Every thing we do, everything we think, and everything we say has a frequency or vibration to it. Let's take the vibration of the action of constantly berating ones self. What kind of vibe do you think that has? How do you think you would feel after a constant exposure to that vibration....
So we come back to taking responsibility for our creation... for creating space to relax our selves to give us some meditation time to create a deeper connection with Spirit. We consciously choose where to direct our thoughts our feelings and create a daily practice of positive thoughts affirmations breathing etc.
The color visualization has been a part of my daily practice for so long that I don't even know where I first heard it. I know that I did it in a group for once a week for over a year. And that after a few group meditations I was able to visualize, and mentally repeat the commands where ever I was and that those words and visuals would automatically send me into a relaxed state, no matter what situation I was in they have become a habit that has become almost involuntary as a result of frequent repetition.
This week take some time to go over some of your repetitive patterns or habits that may no longer serve you. Try replacing them with new habits created by you to help support you as you move along your path!!!!!
